My parents introduced me to photography when they gave me a Kodak Brownie box camera when I was a young child. I was so excited when I got my first photographs back and saw the images I had captured!

Over the years, I have been intrigued by the differences between how the camera sees a scene and how I perceived it. I became even more entranced with photography when I started working in the darkroom and could see the image forming on the paper while it was in the developing tray.

I have spent many hours learning to see how the camera sees, primarily with landscape photography. Although I have had little formal training in photography, I have studied the works of many photographers and artists over the years. I am still learning as time passes and will undoubtedly remain a student of this fascinating medium.

Over the past few years, I have become fascinated with people, their faces, and their living spaces. My goal is to capture a bit of their personality, either through their expressions or their environment.

The success of the assignment is more important to me than the amount of money involved. I will work with my client to achieve an arrangement that is satisfactory to both of us.

I am still building a portfolio of work in several areas of photography. I may be able to provide a reduced fee, or even work on a “pro bono” basis if the work will significantly advance my skills or enhance my portfolio.

The areas of most interest to me, at this time, include commercial, portraiture, and fine art photography. However, if the project is interesting to me, I am willing to work with you to gain more experience.
